Summiting Vesper Peak, A Photo Diary

Intrepid Mountain Designs Adventure Ambassador Harrison Candlin recently had a case of summit fever, keen to experience the euphoria of sitting atop an elevated peak with camera in hand, partner Madison by his side and a step-count in the many thousands. So while visiting the USA a month or two ago, they set off for Vesper Peak, an 1,896-metre location in the North Cascades in the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. As always with Harrison, the resulting photographs were spectacular - so we thought we'd let this photo diary do all the talking.

We managed to line up our trip with one of the worst mosquito seasons on record - the extra snow around made for some prime mosquito breeding in the alpine. (Image courtesy of Harrison Candlin)
